Free World of Warcraft (WoW) leveling guide!

When I first started playing world of warcraft, there wasn’t much out there that helped me level at a decent rate and all the other leveling guides wanted me to buy them. I can’t really play as much as I would like to so I wanted all the help I could get to level quickly. I had to read the quests, then do them and that would take forever, especially if you had to locate and kill something. I like knowing exactly where to go and what to do as soon as I take on the quest. One thing that you must know and probably already know is that if you want to level fast, you must play a lot. The tips I give you here will only help you level faster while you’re playing.

So let’s begin.

1. Get QuestHelper

You can get QuestHelper here: wow.curse.com/downloads/details/9924/ This tool really helps because it shows you where your quests are on your big map and if you’re still having trouble or need to see where whatever it is you’re after is located, www.thottbot.com has screenshots for most of the quests. QuestHelper can only show you the location on the map so it’s sometimes very helpful to see screenshots.

2. Grind quests:

My process of grinding quests is very simple and works really well because it’s less confusing when trying to knock out a bunch of quests. I will go to one area with a bunch of quests and do them all, then go on to another camp and get quests there. Try to only do quests in one area at a time and make sure you get them all because a lot of the time you’ll be able to do more than one quest when you head out because they are in the same general area for the most part.

3. Rest at the inns:

I didn’t know about this for a long time because no one ever told me but you gain 200% XP if you log out in an Inn and get rest. The next time you log in and start questing you’ll gain double XP for things that you kill and if you kill things that are the same level or 1-2 level higher than you, you’ll get even more XP. Your XP bar will be blue if you’re rested.

4. Grind easy to kill enemies:

I’ve noticed that some of your enemies will be fairly easy to kill but still give you a good amount of XP. If you’re bored of questing and wanting to practice your skills, go grind some easy to kill enemies and gain some XP while you’re at it. This tip works better before level 60.

5. Get a high level player to run you through an instance.

This works wonders before level 60 as well. I don’t recommend doing this more than 2 levels at a time because you will need to develop your spell / weapon skills as well. I like mages the best because they can just do arcane explosion and clear everything out quickly and since they can conjure water to restore mana, you will fly through instances and gain lots of XP, especially if you’re rested. You will also only want to go with the higher level player so you get all the XP.
